ALL ENTRIES MUST BE POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN MARCH 31st 2009.

The original artwork should be submitted in the form of a black and white drawing with a diameter of 8 inches on white paper. Shading is encouraged to add depth and detail to the medallion design. The design must accommodate the lettering, "Alaska 2010". The reverse is always the Official State seal of Alaska. They are part of a limited edition series with various sizes in both gold and silver. Designs from previous years will not be considered for the 2010 medallion.
The contest is open to any Alaskan resident with one year or more residency. The winning design will be selected by the State of Alaska Arts Council and becomes the property of the state.
For judging purposes, we request that you do not sign the original artwork. The winning, finished medallion artwork will include the artist's signature.
Include your name, address, and telephone number on the back of your submission(s). Entries can only be returned if you enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your artwork. You may also pick up your artwork at 429 W. 4th Avenue after the contest.
