“Golden Guardian” Nugget Pendant

Deep beneath the sparkling blue ocean, a clever octopus guards his hidden treasure. With eight powerful arms and the ability to change colors in the blink of an eye, he keeps watch over his fortune, blending perfectly into the rocky reef whenever curious fish or daring divers come too close, this eight-armed guardian is the master of disguise, determined to protect his ocean treasure from anyone who dares to take it. Octopuses are some of the most amazing creatures in the ocean! With eight flexible arms, incredible intelligence, and the ability to change color and texture in seconds, they are true masters of disguise. They can solve puzzles, squeeze through tiny spaces, and even use tools to protect themselves. These mysterious underwater geniuses are curious, clever, and full of surprises, making them some of the coolest animals in the sea! Our artists hunt through piles of natural gold nuggets looking for pieces that inspire. When just the right nugget is found, a sketch is drawn that is given to one of our jewelers who then hand make each piece of jewelry as an original sculpture that you can proudly wear and enjoy!  Each custom piece takes about 2 months to complete. This beautiful nugget pendant is made with an 18k yellow gold custom frame, along with genuine ruby eyes. It is perfect for a man or woman to wear. The pendant is just over 1.5 inches tall including the bail and over 1.25 inches across. The nugget weighs 3 grams and the total weight of the pendant is 15.2 grams. This pendant comes with a gold filled display chain at no charge (the chain shown in the photos does not come with the pendant). If you also need a nice chain, we have several styles to choose from, give us a call at 1-907-278-8414 for some chain ideas.

The pendant comes in a nice gift box. It shows up ready to give to someone special, even if that special someone is you.

Gold Nugget Information:

Formation of Gold Nuggets: Geological processes deep within the Earth’s crust form gold nuggets. Miners typically find gold nuggets in quartz veins or other mineral deposits. Over time, weathering and erosion can break these deposits apart, releasing gold particles and nuggets into rivers and streams. Each piece is one of a kind with no two being exactly alike. Where to Find Gold Nuggets: Regions with a history of gold mining, such as Alaska, California, Canada, and Australia, can produce gold nuggets. Wherever the effects of erosion took place. That would include rivers, streams, ancient dried up river channels and underground riverbeds. They call this type of gold placer gold. Equipment and Tools: From gold pans and suction dredges that act like an underwater vacuum cleaner, to heavy equipment loading dirt and gravel into large trommels and sluice boxes, people search for gold. Additionally, metal detectors are particularly useful for locating gold nuggets hidden underground. Identifying Gold Nuggets: Gold nuggets vary in size, shape, and purity. They can be small flakes or large, irregularly shaped pieces. Natural gold is bright yellow and heavy, so gold nuggets are usually much heavier than other similarly sized rocks. They may also have quartz or other minerals attached, as gold often forms in association with other minerals. In fact, natural Alaskan gold is typically 75% to 95% pure, or 18k to 22k. We have one of the largest selections of gold nugget pendants in Alaska. Look through our collection today and find one that speaks to you!
